WE DO
TRANSFORMATION.

At Home Ground we believe in real transformation.

First, it starts with us, as individuals and then it goes into the church which creates a ripple effect into our community.

Are you ready for transformation?

TRANSFORMING INDIVIDUALS.

Life-Transforming

Conversations

"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." - Proverbs 27:17
These gender specific groups are for you to gather with other men or women, to talk openly about your challenges and pray together through every season.

Life Groups

Somethings just can’t be done alone - spiritual transformation is one of them!

We believe that everyone should be in a small group where they feel that they belong and experience authentic, loving relationships. Out of this place, a person will be encouraged and equipped to reach others who don’t know Jesus, grow spiritually, be cared for and supported and find a place to serve God in their homes, work and the community.

Care

Life can be extremely challenging.

That is why we have created a safe and authentic space for you to come and share your battles with us. Our care team is equipped to handle these with professionalism and empathy. We are open to our community - so call us if you need to chat and receive some counsel.

TRANSFORMING CHURCH.

Feel At Home

One way to feel connected and like you are a part of the family here at Home Ground is to serve. We love to welcome new volunteers for our various ministries - kids, hosting, worship, media and more!

Kids

At Home Ground we place huge value on the younger generation.

They are a crucial part of our church life, and we are committed to equipping and teaching them about God in fun and age-appropriate ways.

Find Your Place

Have you wondered what you have to offer? Ever thought about what you are good at and how to serve within that gift?We are here to help you navigate those questions, and others, as you hone your God-given gifting.

Youth

Home Ground Youth (grade 7-12) is designed to help teens grow in their faith, transform their character and build their relationships.

It runs on a Friday evening (during the school term) from 7:00 pm to10:00 pm; and on a Sunday morning along with our 8 am and 10 am services.

SixtyPlus

Our SixtyPlus (seniors) community is an important part of Home Ground.

We have a monthly meeting for fellowship and tea - usually with a guest speaker. This normally happens on the first Thursday of the month from 10 am to 12 pm.

There are also Small Groups specifically for our SixtyPlus Group.

We'd love to see you there.

Students

In a changing and often isolated world, we want to provide real community and stability for students (matrics and varsity students).

Our hope is that every student will experience God, discover truth and be a part of a real community.

Our Sunday 5:30pm service is aimed specifically for our 18 to 25 year olds.

TRANSFORMING COMMUNITY.

C.A.S.T

The CHURCH ALLIANCE FOR SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION (C.A.S.T) is a registered non-profit organisation that mobilises and equips local churches for compassionate action among the poor in their communities.

The CAST offices and warehouses can be found in the office block next to the church.

SOAR

Many deaf people have no way to attend church. At Home Ground, we are committed to serving the deaf community, and providing them with a way to grow in their relationship with God, and experience church! We have deaf-friendly services on the first Sunday of the month (10 am).

Hidden Treasure

'One man's trash is another man's treasure.'  Hidden Treasure is a charity shop run by Home Ground that sells ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. The proceeds all go to support CAST and Missions. We are situated at Salamance Centre, Maryvale Road, Westville. You can help us by donating - drop off at the church office or directly at the shop; or by volunteering with us a few hours a week.

Home Ground Recovery

Home Ground Recovery is a support structure for addicts and their supporters. Weekly meetings take place at the Church on Mondays at 7 pm.

Home Ground Recovery partners with Project Exodus from Anthem Church.

We also have a Recovery Home - a secure living environment for men who have completed a Primary Care programme and are committed to building their recovery further.

Missions

We desire to not only see transformation

in our immediate community, but also in

the rest of our world. Missions incorporates short-term exposure trips; medium-term involvement; and sending long-term missionaries into the field.
